BIRDS IN FOSTER CARE - Adopting a bird can be a difficult. Often rescue birds have been in situations that have caused them to develop undesirable habits. If you’re thinking you may be getting a free pet, think again. Any bird is expensive to house, feed, and maintain as well as requiring a significant commitment of time and patience. An adopted rescue bird is even more needy. Please read the description of each bird carefully. If interested, we will put you in contact with the foster parents who may be able to provide more information. Be prepared to bleed, scream, cry, have family issues and be bitten. We do have plenty of experts who can guide you, the only thing we don’t offer is sugar coating. Birds enter our rescue all the time. Do not make the mistake of thinking you have to pick one right now. Do not make the mistake of biting off more then you can chew, leave that one to the bird! If our warnings aren’t enough to scare you away, then contact us and lets see if we can't find a companion who’s right for you!
